词源词根法
bacteria（细菌）一词最初由德国科学家埃伦伯格（Christian Gottfried Ehrenberg）在1828年提出，来自希腊语bakterion，是baktron的指小形式，意思是“小棍子”。之所以叫这个名字是最初科学家所观察到的细菌都是杆状的。
